Two loop inductive system + quartz pressure sensor
Measuring system equipped with two inductive loops and a quartz pressure sensor
The simplest system for weighing vehicles in motion. The use of quartz sensors allows to increase the accuracy of weighing results in comparison to systems with polymer sensors.
Required module:
k. WIM – module working with two inductive loops and a single quartz pressure sensor
Required sensors:
2 inductive loops
quartz pressure sensor
Module: k. WIM
Measured parameters:
- vehicle arrival time (with 0.01s resolution),
- vehicle counting,
- vehicle interval (0.01s resolution),
- magnetic profile and vehicle classification based on it
(distinguished by 4 classes: passenger cars, vans, trucks, buses) - trailer detection,
- speed measurement (measurement error 1. 5%),
- length measurement (measurement error 2%),
- number of axles,
- distance between axles,
- classification by length (4 vehicle classes are distinguished),
- classification by FHWA F or ALT,
- axle tensions (measurement error 15 – 25%),
- total vehicle mass (measurement error 15 – 20%).
Determined characteristics (variation as a function of time):
- traffic density,
- flow (mass and vehicles),
- lane occupancy,
- average speed,
- number of vehicles by class (according to selected classification scheme).
