Single inductive loop +2 polymer pressure sensors
Measuring system with a single inductive loop and two polymeric pressure sensors
The most popular system for preselection weighing of vehicles in traffic today. Required module: p. WIM – module that works with a single inductive loop and two polymer pressure sensors Required sensors: one induction loop Two polymer contact sensors | Module: p. WIM |
Measured parameters:
- vehicle arrival time (with 0.01s resolution),
- vehicle counts,
- interval between vehicles (0. 01s resolution),
- magnetic profile and vehicle classification based on it
(4 classes are distinguished: cars, vans, trucks, buses) - trailer detection,
- speed measurement (measurement error < 1 km/h),
- length measurement (measurement error 2%),
- number of axles,
- distance between axles (measurement error +-1 cm),
- classification by length (4 vehicle classes are distinguished),
- classification by FHWA F or ALT,
- axle tensions (measurement error 15 – 20%),
- total vehicle mass (measurement error 10 – 15%).
Determined characteristics (variation as a function of time):
- traffic density,
- flow (mass and vehicles),
- lane occupancy,
- average speed,
- number of vehicles by class (according to selected classification scheme).
